AUGUST 31 to SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 6TH 2008

"I would like to thank DI for the great time my team and I had during the seminar in Vietnam last week. It was the second high achievers seminar that we have attended and once again it had exceeded my expectation. It was very well organised, everything from accommodation, seminar, day trips, dinners and entertainments. The place we stayed is a five star resort with a beautiful beach front, very well landscaped garden and a large swimming pool. it is about 5km from the old town of Hoi-an where we did a lot of shopping, the food was excellent, and visiting the tailors was a great experience for me. And it wasn't expensive at all. There is so much to do but not enough time so we all wanted to go back again. The whole seminar and holiday package offers great value compared to the cost. I recommend it to everyone. I suggest the whole team should attend if possible because it offers a great team building opportunity."

"Our first DI Seminar and a well organized professional production at a fantastic location. I found it immensely valuable to step back from the hectic of daily clinical dentistry with some of our staff, and look at the whole picture. There was a variation in small and large city and rural practices present which allowed many issues to be brought up and discussed. Anita Roubicek was only too happy to address any points raised and was able to suggest practical solutions to problems most of us have in everyday work. I was envious of Dennis who was able to bring along his entire staff and believe this is definitely the way to go if you can. I was also quite envious of Dennis’ skills on the karaoke…indeed quite the entertainer"!

"Big thanks and congratulations to Merv, Berris, and Cathy M for a very successful Practice Management Conference in Fiji Sheraton last week.
Wonderful week of sunshine, snorkelling, sailing, cruising etc etc and of course, three valuable sessions with Cathy. The only downside for me was Berris beat me in the sailing race!
Highly recommend next year in Vietnam, and my advice is that the dentist MUST go with his team (a few dentists just sent their girls to"get the good oil") as there is no way the staff can take it back and implement without the boss ("God ", as Cathy calls us) seeing it too. It is all about reduction of stress in the surgery, and as "God" creates most of the stress, he/she needs to see how his/her team can help, and how the dentist can reduce most of the stress in the front office."

"A fantastic response from our 2 staff, they are brimming over with new ideas and things we should try in our practice. Have described it as the opportunity of a lifetime. Normally we dentists would organize the staff meetings and this time they have asked for 2 hours in 2 weeks so they have time to get their presentation ready for the rest of the staff. They loved Fiji and enjoyed everyone in the group. As employers sending them, we have found the couple of months lead time from when we offered them the trip and when they actually left to be of great benefit as a goodwill exercise , much excitement , getting passports etc. and now that they are back it really looks as though there will be positive benefits all round. Our main receptionist has been doing the practice managers course this year and is nearly finished. She has said to me that so many of the things the course recommends are things that our 2 staff have come back excited about, so she can see that implementing these changes will have the 3 of them working in the same direction encouraging the other 2 seniors and the 3 juniors together rather than just her trying to do it all alone. The goodwill aspect of it has actually encouraged us to send a different 2 to Adelaide in a couple of weeks for a day course in reception duties as it keeps everyone interested and a couple of days accommodation and a flight is an easy way to keep good staff motivated. A modest pay rise produces gratitude and excitement for the first week that it is given but something like this produces tremendous goodwill and long term loyalty I think. Many thanks to your team for making it all run so smoothly"
